100% Design

Reeds undertook another memorable installation with the aisle and shell scheme carpet for

100%Design, 100% Detail and 100% Light. The event at Earls Court featured a specially produced recyclable pinstripe carpet to the aisle areas creating a unique look for the show.

Exhibiting Show

Reeds have showcased a number of new products at the Exhibiting Show held at Excel in London. Among the innovations ondisplay were a new collection of metallic mosaic vinyls and slip resistant wood vinyls. Reeds also displayed a new printed carpet service based on the existing Universal Velour range which offers amazing design potential for the exhibition and events industries. Reeds also installed the aisle carpet for the Exhibiting Show and London Venue Expo as well as a 250 metre long red carpet - the longest red carpet in Reeds history  - running from the west entrance of the venue to the show entrance within the boulevard.

A Farewell to Landfill?

Reeds are on the brink of launching a fully recyclable carpet system. The UK exhibition & events industry currently dumps an estimated 12 million square metres of carpet every year - much of it ending up in landfill. Reeds have been working in conjunction with manufacturers and Warwick University to fine tune the manufacturing process to enable the carpet to be converted into mouldable plastic pellets. These pellets can then be used to make everything from construction components to waste bins, buckets, plant pots and storage boxes.

The introduction of a fully recyclable carpet is the culmination of three years research, with the carpet in question being trialled at events including Clothes Show Live, Autosport and this year's London Marathon. The Pig & Poultry Show at Stoneleigh Park is destined to be the first show in the UK from which all the carpeting will be recycled.

success, with Reeds undertaking the feature cutting installation in the main entrance to the show as well as the floor covering for the ISES Lounge

Performance Textiles Show

Reeds are toasting their success at the Performance Textiles Show and Awards

Ceremony. The event at the Telford International Centre showcases products and

services within the outdoor events industry with the after show awards dinner

recognising the achievements of its members. Reeds were nominated for three

awards with Clare Reed receiving the President's Award and a highly commended rating in the Business Person of the Year categories. Reeds were also awarded a highly commended rating in the Business of the Year category.

New Cord Ranges

Spring is in the air and with the outdoor event season fast approaching Reeds have extended the Lunar, Solar and Resin Backed Cord ranges, with fifteen colour

options now available in each. New colours for this year include Honey Beige, Baby

Pink, Pervinca and Blue Lagoon, providing even greater choice for the exhibition and

outdoor event industries.

Expo Palette

Reeds Carpets have launched Expo Palette, a new range of carpet specially developed for exhibition aisle and shell scheme installations. The range is available

in 44 colours with further bespoke colours available on request. The range comes

on 2m width and has a fire retardant pre-coat conforming to Class 1, M3 and B1

fire restistance ratings and the new European EN13501 classification.

Autosport

Reeds have completed the installation of over 60,000 square metres of floor coverings for Autosport International, the world's premier motorsport exhibition.

The event at the N.E.C. in Birmingham was organised by Haymarket Exhibitions, with Reeds fulfilling the role of official carpeting contractor. The contract required the fitting of the shell scheme and aisle carpets and also involved a number of feature areas, including the Formula 1 grid area (pictured).
